What's the difference between massage oil, essential oil, and carrier oil?
Massage oil is a ready-to-use, plant-based blend that doesn't require dilution. This section features 11 items: four Thai oils with lemongrass, lotus, jasmine, and Lilawadee scents, 100 ml pineapple oil, 120 ml and 500 ml cold-pressed coconut oil, noni extract oil, and three body creams.
Essential oil is a concentrate and should not be applied undiluted. Carrier oil — like coconut (Cocos nucifera) — can be applied directly, but it has little to no scent. Massage oil already contains the aromatic component: simply open the bottle and begin. It's ideal for oil massages where smooth, gliding movements without friction are desired.
How to choose an oil and how much you need
- Morning and revitalization — lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), with a herbaceous-citrus aroma.
- Relaxing evening session — jasmine (Jasminum) or Lilawadee, Thai plumeria (Plumeria), also known as frangipani.
- Neutral base for longer sessions and children's massage — 120 ml or 500 ml cold-pressed coconut oil.
- Usage — 10–15 ml for the back and shoulders, 25–40 ml for the whole body; warm the oil in your palms and add in portions.

All oils in this section are neutral in sensation on the skin. In Thai tradition, warming effects are typically provided by balms based on ginger (Zingiber officinale) from the Traditional Medicine section — these are used topically, not for full-body massage.
